Ghostboy with Golden Virtues
Multi-Media - music/spoken word/cabaret
A lost boy in drag / searching for love / in all the wrong places

Ghostboy with Golden Virtues is the Dr Jekyll & Mistress Hyde of Australian cabaret performance art. Never for the faint hearted, these underground spirits swing audiences from debauched Berlin rock’n’roll landscapes dripping with Iggy Pop to surrealist spoken word soundtracks before taking them down town with bent takes on Serge Gainsbourg. Virtues’ lead muse Skye Staniford then joins Ghostboy for their unique spoken word / song duets revealing stories of wolves, women who are made only from hearts and other pre-dawn cravings & violins. Renowned for their exploding live shows, Ghostboy with Golden Virtues has collectively (dis)graced stages at the Woodford Folk Festival, The Tivoli, and The Sydney Opera House while occasionally disturbing Triple J’s airwaves. The Daily Telegraph described Ghostboy as “an underground star”. www.myspace.com/ghostboywithgoldenvirtues

Support Act: Maiden Speech is gaining recognition for being an avant-garde pop act, merging 80’s inspired songs with spoken word poetry and performing consistently (over 60 gigs) since October 2006. Shows include music lineups, festival slots, and cultural/cabaret events both locally and overseas (2007 UK/Cyprus Tour).
The debut album, mixed by Magoo, reached #2 on the 4ZZZ album charts and is a featured album in Yen Magazine’s ‘Albums We Heart’.
Leonard Cohen says of Maiden Speech, ‘I am yet to recover from their stab of beauty’.
