Brisbane-based musician Tara Simmons has been busy. Over a remarkably short time, she has made impacted the Australian music scene with two EPs, an EP compilation (EPilation), airplay on Triple J and national community radio, featured in the film All My Friends Are Leaving Brisbane and played alongside The Living End, Eskimo Joe, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Audreys, Home Video and My Latest Novel. She's been “Next Cropped” by Triple J and featured on L.A.'s influential taste-making program on KCRW with Nic Harcourt.
Tonight’s concert showcases Tara’s debut full-length album (you’ll have to come to the show to find out its title). This launch features her unique band configuration; two cellos, double bass, synth, laptop and drums. Support act is Brisbane's emerging singer/songwriter, Dan Parsons.
