We guarantee you’ve never seen anything quite like this. Flanked by hotter-than-Marilyn chanteuses Skye Staniford and Hannah Jane, infamous avant-garde rocker Ghostboy delivers his enigmatic blend of antagonism and sensuality with precise, almost sadistic delight. Throw in dark horses Robbie Zawada, Paul Daly and Dan McNaulty on electric guitars, bass, cello, violin, tenor sax and drums plus an Irish pole dancing stripper, and the result is an entirely original post-punk psychosexual rock opera. Drawing on elements of performance art and experimental cabaret, GBGV’s critically lauded Berlin-style rock ‘n’ roll debauchery has been seducing festival audiences around the country. Very special guests on the night include a solo set on grand piano by revered rock’n’roll vaudevillian Martin Martini, New York’s provocative punk performance artist Emily XYZ (The 2010 Arts Queensland Poet-in-Residence) as well as local sonic sex therapist Pascalle Burton. This is an event not to be missed.
